This is not the first time the Pirate is pulling the plug on this topic but he’s never gone anywhere. We really don’t want him to say it anymore but he has again mentioned his idea of retiring soon from the big screen.
In an interview with the BBC to promote his new film, The Lone Ranger, actor Johnny Depp revealed he might be stepping down at any moment, “I wouldn’t say that I’m dropping out any second,” Deppclarified, “but I would say it’s probably not too far away. So, are there quieter things that I wouldn’t mind doing, you know? Yeah, I wouldn’t mind that,” he offered. What ‘quieter’ things could possibly ruled Jack Sparrow out of the cameras?
However, the 50 year old actor won’t be out that fast given his long list of upcoming activities, including the splashy big-screen adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Into the Woods, in which he’ll play the big bad Wolf.
Depp is also allegedly in talks to dust off his madcap Mad Hatter for a sequel to Alice In The Wonderlandand he’s purportedly getting ready to once again sail the high seas in the fifth go-round of the massively Successful Pirates Of The Carribean saga, whose previous four films have collectively grossed a whopping $3.7 billion worldwide.
With that kind of profits, Mr Depp has got to think twice, right?
