Of course, Apple can refer majorly to two things- the fruit or the device. Unfortunately, a woman was recently tricked to part with $1,300 for two apple fruits as against an Iphone. Expensive apples you'd call those...this is how it happened:
A 21-year-old Australian woman was on a website called Gumtree and placed an ad, asking if anyone had an Iphone for sale. A woman responded, saying that she could sell her two.
According to the Herald Sun, both met at a McDonald's where the woman paid $1,500 AUD for the phones ($1,336.35 U.S.) and received "two iPhone boxes that looked new." The woman didn’t check to see what was inside.
She finally looked once she got home, and found fruit, not phones, inside.
While Police sympathized with the woman and warned that people should be more careful when buying on-line, a commenter on the web, Andrew Perrott said, “The sheer stupidity of some people defies belief.” Another person, Marcin Karpinski, said “Nowadays, phones are smarter and more intelligent than their owners.”
Do they echo your own submissions or can you make that kind of mistake?
