Robert Mugabe, 89, Declared Winner of Zimbabwean Elections

Robert Mugabe

Incumbent Zimababwean President who is 89 years old has been declared winner of Zimbabwean elections. He rode home to victory in what has been described as a "fraudulent election" with 61.09% of Wednesday’s vote, outstripping the 33.94% won by his opponent, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai.

“We are going to go to court, we are going to go to the AU (African Union), we are going to go to the SADC (Southern African Development Community),” Tsvangirai angrily told a news conference in Harare.

It is such a shame that many African countries still cannot conduct an election that is widely accepted to be free and fair. This does not come as a surprise, the supposed Giant is also caught in the dance of shame. Meanwhile, I only wonder what an 89-year-old man is still doing in active politics...
